When people are serious about personal growth and spiritual growth, serious about their own evolution to a higher state of being and consciousness, serious about rising above conditioned reactions to their environment that keep them trapped below their potential—I hate to see them waste their time.
And the truth is, two hours with me will advance you further than any 100 books you could read. And I say that with all humility, because it was a lesson I had to learn. I used to be a book person too. Reading book after book after book on top of more books on top of more books.
Then one day I had a 45 second experience in real life with a real life teacher that taught me more about presence than I had learned from decades of reading about it in books.
Books are mostly mental masturbation mind candy for the ego which mainly serve to keep you trapped in conditioned egoic thinking at the surface level of life. Entertaining distractions so the question of going deeper never even arises.
Books, and the internet too for that matter, will fill you with information and data points. That’s not wisdom. That’s not Life. Wisdom and living teachings come only from real life relationship with a real life human being.
